Family and Gender Unit
Hours of opening 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m on Mondays.
This unit is run by attorneys Steve Tuson and Philippa Kruger, with the assistance of candidate attorneys. The unit assists members of the public with all Family or gender related legal problems , including:

Divorces;

Custody, access and guardianship applications;

Applications to rescind or vary divorce decrees;

Urgent interdicts or orders;
-
Selected maintenance claims with special merit;
-
Discrimination based on grounds of gender;

Applications for the appointments of curators bonis and curators ad litem, and
-
Matters related to children's rights.
The clinic can only assist members of the public who are indigent and qualify on an income means test, and who do not have the financial resources to pay for an attorney.
