Labour Unit

Hours of opening from 8:00 a.m. on Wednesdays.

This unit is run by attorney Shaheda Mahomed and Wendy Sherbil-Fahri with the assistance of a candidate attorney.
The unit assists members of the public with all labour or employment law related problems, such as:

• Unfair dismissals;

• Unfair labour practices;

• Applications to the CCMA, and

• Litigation in the Labour Court and assistance with arbitrations and with legal advice.

The clinic can only assist members of the public who are indigent and qualify on an income means test,and who do not have the financial resources to pay for an attorney.
